August 2018

“Just back from honeymoon after a brilliant couple of weeks. We wanted to pass on our sincere thanks for the delicious food you made and served up at our wedding on the 25th of August. We loved it, our guests had lots of compliments and my dad had seconds, possibly third helpings. Everyone was super friendly and the setup, service and take-down was really smooth. That's no surprise, as you've shown nothing but professionalism and care throughout. So, thanks so very much - we couldn't be happier to have asked you to cater on this occasion. Wishing you all the best with the business and look forward to having some of your food again.”

“So we got married on Sunday, and Sham and her family provided the food. I had asked on Walthamstow Life if anyone had suggestions as we wanted a curry buffet for 200 people, and several people mentioned Sham.

From the first time I communicated with Sham, she seemed genuinely excited about the project, and I realised that she wasn't going to treat it like 'just another job' as a large catering company might. My partner and I visited her house where she greeted us like old friends. She presented us with an amazing array of delicious food, and I was astounded that there was a vegan and gluten free option. Her price was unbelievably fair and reasonable, and she even sourced all of the bio degradable plates and cutlery for us.

We remained in contact and Sham always responded to e mails quickly when we mentioned small changes. We realised that some of the younger or more elderly guests might not want a spicy curry, so Sham offered to make 40 portions of a milder curry. She was so flexible and took any changes on board.

On the day, Sham and her family were prompt and set up their marquee swiftly. Sham had also taken the initiative to simply contact the venue directly about logistics which really took a lot of pressure off myself. Upon seeing the venue Sham just seemed so delighted and it felt more like she was a guest!!! They decorated their marquee with a festival vibe, and the smells that wafted into the main venue were unbelievable.

After the ceremony, Sham's family worked tirelessly to provide pakoras for guests who were dotted all around the venue (inside and out) before serving up the main meal. Serving 200 people simultaneously is not easy, but the queue went down in a flash. And suddenly 200 people were seated and tucking into a plentiful and tasty meal. No dried out chicken breasts at our wedding!!!

They then took on the responsibility of the clean up themselves, before starting work on the bacon butties that were served in the evening to prevent anyone getting too inebriated!!! Completely delicious. I had about 3!!

Then at the end of the night, they packed down after a long day. Still smiling and laughing and chatting with our guests. We didn't have to worry about leftovers or mess or washing up. Incredible.

I would hire Shameem again in a heartbeat. And am secretly glad that I need to return a dish to her so that I can pop to her house and relive it all!!!”

“Sham and her brother Javeed catered for our wedding and were absolutely fantastic. From our first contacts, negotiating menus, through to the seamless service on the day, everything went swimmingly. Plus the cost is very reasonable. They were completely happy creating a vegan menu, and the food was incredibly delicious. On the day Jav catered for us at Orford Road Social Club for about 100 people. The mixture of curries, daal, home made pakoras etc were lovely, and there was plenty of food, including left overs that we are still enjoying. Thanks so much both of you!”
